Hi Guys, The documentation in http://www.mysql.com/doc/R/e/Replication.html , is not clear enough regarding using replication for load balancing.
I understand that the load balance can just be done on SELECTS. And the documentation says that "The extra speed is achieved by sending a part of the non-updating queries to the replica server". My question is: Do we have to send the SELECT explicitly to the slave, or we can send it to the master, and it (the master) will take care of that? I tried unsuccessfully to find more info regarding load balancing on mysql... If someone can give me a web-site or something else I can read, it would be really appreciated.
