Thank You Mr Hall: It's clear to me now that I cannot give to MySQL an MS
Access object as MySQL will not read the data in it.

It is really not too bad indeed as I can leave almost all the queries in
the "MS Access language" without translating them into "Pass-through Queries".
In this way, I think, it is still the the MS Access front-end that makes
all the job, but, I don't know why, it's anyway much faster than it used
to be when I had also the back-end in MS Access.

Though I still have a problem: each time I execute an "Action Query" (I
hope I can make myself understood: in fact I'm translating the names litterally
from Italian into English as my copy of MS Access is in Italian) like a
"Delete Query" or an "Update Query", MS Access asks for the permission to
change datas in the back-end tables (I'm sure it doesn't depend on MS Access
as I had settled to "No" the relative option in the "Option Menù" and, in
fact, MS Access didn't ask for any permission when also the back-end was
in MS Access).

No PopUp Forms asking for the permission comes out instead if I translate
the "Action Query" into a "Pass-through Query" and execute this last one,
but I cannot do it if, to write the query, I must get a data from a MS Access
Object.

In the end:

1) "Pass-through Queries" don't give me any problem with stupid PopUp forms
asking for confirm, but can not be used if I must refer to a MS Access
Object in the sintax of the query.

2) the "Action Queries" can read MS Access objects but need to be confirned
each time I execute them. If you consider that in some macroes I have
4 or 5 "Action Queries" one after the other, you will understand that
it is very unconfortable.

So, as there's no way of making MySQL read data in MS Access Object, is
there a way to avoid stupid PopUp forms asking for confirm to an "Action
Query"?

Thank you very, very much for the help that you are giving to me.

One more thing: let's hope that no one from my Govenment will ever read
our corrispondence. In Italy we pay taxes practically on everything, but
not on "SQL PARAMETERS"; at least up to now.

But if they get the idea somewhere.........you never can tell!!!

Greetings from Italy

Giuliano Bortolani
