I am getting an error "java.sql.SQLException Communication failure during handshake. Is there a server running on localhost:3306?" while connecting to mysql database. This error is rare but it comes after using the connection for some time. I am using Java Web Server 2.0 for servlets and am running mysql on windows NT 4. The version of mysql is 3.22.27 Driver i am using is org.gjt.mm.mysql version 1.2b Please suggest a solution.
