When I try to connect to mysql as 'root' I get the following: >[localhost:/Users/cooldaze] root# mysql >ERROR 1045: Access denied for user: 'root@localhost' (Using password: NO)
I can connect as a normal user, but can't create any databases or do other necessary admin functions, so I need to be able to connect as root occasionally. I think the ending phrase is preventing me from doing this. What command do I issue to change the ending phrase to "(Using password: YES)" ??
