Hello, If you're on *NIX platform, use this: chown mysql * in your data directory. To make things sure, chown every data file to mysql user (I assume you've created it during install).
On Windows, check the permissions. I apologize for being inaccurate, but you didn't specify what operating system you're using and whether you have installed MySQL from source or from a binary package.
