Im curious as to why safe_mysqld runs as root? I have changed the owenership and group to mysql and my my.cnf file looks like:
[mysqld] user=mysql port=3306 socket=/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock [mysql_server] user=mysql port=3306 socket=/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock Any thoughts are welcome.
