If it's lost, it's lost. But that's not the end of the matter. When making a table for use, make a backup tablee and have update operati operations like closing make a backup of data in original table. Interestingly, msaccess 2000 has a problem with subquerydatasheets that makes such an approach necessary in that application which is why I know about it.
