Linux shows threads. BSD shows processes.
The difference is in the way ps runs, not mysqld.
*doh* I guess the sun got to me, sorry mate! :-)
But do you have any good ways to get the database to run any faster? I am running it on a really beat up piece of junk (p200 with 98MB in ram, don't tell me to get new hardware - 'cause I will! hehe) and would like some hands on settings in the cnf-file from you if possible.
