How soon do you need to put it in production? > Which leads me to the next question for the MySQL list: What is the > schedule for the 4.1 release? When is it planned to go to beta? To > FCS? It sounds like the 4.1.3 or 4.1.4 release will be a beta, and then hopefully a gamma shortly after. > I've seen on the list something to the effect of "it will be ready > when it's ready". It depends on your business and your confidence in the MySQL codebase, I think. We (Yahoo) have run alpha and beta versions in production several times on very high-profile parts of our web site. We've never had a problem doing so. Now, we didn't do that blidnly, either. I did some testing beforehand and kept track of the bugs people were reporting. Jeremy -- Jeremy D.
