nail/mailx is a fine and very stable MUA. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
If you find a bug in nail, and report it here, and other are afraid to
be affected by that bug, too, it may even get fixed.

Feel free to do so. S-nail has lots of new features, and corresponding
new bugs, too. It works on a different feature-set tangent, though,
and at least for me it is not simply a replacement.
I run both -- out of curiosity, I run s-nail on a low-volume (four mails
a day) system, but I'll continue to nail on my main system at home
(some 20 mails daily) and at work (400 daily).
I also prefer not to mix both mailing lists needlessly. I'm subscribed
to both and receive them where I use them.
I also think that both branches have their respective pkgs & maintainers
in various unix distributions -- which I really appreciate, BTW!
