Hi Val,
I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia for about a year and a half now. I
was very fortunate to find a wonderful doctor who had it and wrote a book
about how to manage it. This doctor has been doing well and her symptons
have not come back for about 20 years. Her book is called, "Freedom from
Fibromyalgia" by Nancy Selfridge. She lives in Madison, Wisconsin. When I
saw her she recommended a good multivitamin, magnesium, and calcium with
D3. She also checked my Vitamin D levels (when low it can cause pain).
Mine were low and she told me to slowly and carefully increase my time in
the sun. Also, In my experience I have found that mediating has been
extremely benefitical for me. She also recommended exercising for at least
30 min a day. As long as I do what she and her book told me to do I feel
great. The only time that I feel bad and my symptoms come back is when I
don't take care of myself. I hope this helps.
