Thanks!   I do use a sciver bit,  I am a fanatic about my prep.

As for the Affixit,  is it just that that does not soak off or anything you put
on top of it that doesn't soak off?  I know that sounded stupid, but just
trying to figure this stuff out.  All I have is you guys on here to help me
through all the new stuff out there.  I don't have anyone around here that I
know of to network with , sure wish I did,  so that we could do each others
nails,  LOL.

I had problems in the beginning of my use of the Options line as well. You
really need to be sure to remove all the cuticle off the nail plate (I use the
sciver bit with my e file), and cleanse well; especially sidewalls and free
edge with Akzentz's Nail Prep. If you aren't soaking off, then use Affixit
after the Sure Bond. Or, apply the Affixit just on the free edge to prevent the
separation. Keep in mind, Affixit does not soak off. I have also switched to
Opti Bond instead of Base and Gloss and now all my clients go at least 3 weeks
with no problems. In fact, some are more difficult to file off! LOL! I also
like to use the Options Clear as a top coat; remember to swipe a little on the
free edge as well to "cap" the gel in place.

Hope this helps!

Just called her,  she suggested the Opti bond as well,  I don't have that,  but
will substitute it with protein bond for now,  til I get to HRTE in Buffalo in
a week or two.   The only other thing she suggested was to wipe off the
dispersion layer with acetone before applying the colored gel.  So I will try
that when she comes in.  Gonna re do to whole set for her.  I was hoping it
would last well for her,  will have to add the concrete, LOL.  Protein bond it
is.

thanks for your help!!!

The steps you did were correct (I'm not an Akzentz educator, but that is how
I've done it). However, if a client comes back with peeling, I then use a
primer. I like to use Young Nails Protein Bond. In fact, I ALWAYS use Protein
Bond just for that extra insurance. I don't soak off, I file off when they come
back. The protein bond seems to really hold the product on so if you're soaking
it off, it may take longer with the protein bond.

Do you have Opti Bond from Akzentz? That works well too. Have you tried to
call an Akzentz educator to trouble shoot?

Good luck.

Hi all,

Anyone out there listening, I need help fast, have a natural nail
client that I tried the soakables on, did them on Wednesday. She
called today and 2 of them just peeled right off..

Here is what I did:

Prepped the nails
cleansed with alcohol 90 %
applied sure bond
applied first layer of clear base n'gloss
cured 2 min
applied one layer of ravishing red
cured 2 min
applied 2nd layer of ravishing red
cured 2 min
applied top layer of clear base n' gloss
cured 2 min
removed dispersion layer with alcohol 90 %

Am I doing something wrong? Should I have used a primer? She is coming
here in a couple of hours and I hope I can catch yall for some help
here.

Thanks,
