Like Michelle...I Jedi 'em...in this one woman's case I would just start in on one hand with the gel coat....Ooops! Let me buff the other hand while the 1st hand is curing. Make sure the two look alike when I send her out and then when she comes back I'd point out how visibly shinier the gel coated hand is.
She is not aware of the true value of a gel coat so she just can't make an informed decision--YOU are the pro who knows! ;-) Karen Key West Sent via BlackBerry by AT&T -----Original Message----- From: Angela R Wingerter <[email protected]> Date: Tue, 16 Mar 2010 16:14:45 To: <[email protected]> Subject: NailTech:: Crazy clients Some days people can drive ya crazy!! Tell her to use polish remover and see if it comes off. I have a client that swears gel top coat over her pink and white acrylics made her nail break and now will not let me use it. I wanted to start using gel top coat instead of buffing to a high shine. It is easier on my wrists not to have to buff anymore. But for her we still buff. I am using OPI and Nailite. The OPI so top is by far my top choice. I JUST got a call from a client who had them done on Friday and she is complaining about "something black" on the tips. Said it could be newspaper. GEEZUS-- this is MY fault??? Use your fingers to turn the pages and not your nails. No wonder her nails peel and break! This proves it. Who needs coffee??? Shoot- I need a shot of something!! I am not crazy about their super shiney. It's just not that super shiney. Do most of you get about 2 weeks out of your sog? (No Chip Manicures)? I have LE sog with LE gel polish on one person and LE sog with Nailite gel polish on another. Just relatives at this point.
