I switched to top gloss back when I was product testing Brisa, I was the first to even attempt it on acrylics and it worked great. There were many skeptics at CNDS saying it wasn't meant to be applied to acrylics and now look at all the companies who've since come out with the Uv gel topcoat :) My clients don't get a say in what is in their service, I'm the professional - be confident in what you tell them and they will do whatever you ask. I've been teching for 20 years now, I still have a waiting list and clients that have been with me the entire time.

You can too!

LOL... Last year, I switched to gel topcoat on my acrylics. I didn't give anyone a choice. I told them it was not cost effective for me to carry all 3... A-Coat, Glossing Buffers, and Gel Topcoat... and that everyone had a different preference. I chose Gel Topcoat and told any resistant switchers that I would be more than happy to do either of the other 2... IF they bought their own bottle/buffer and brought it to the appt with them because I couldn't store it on site. I had one of each the A-Coat and Buffer... but in both cases, when THEY forgot their supplies, we put the Gel Topcoat on them and they wore it for 2 weeks and fell in love. :) Use the "Jedi Mind Trick" on those crazy clients!!! Just say it with a smile! *wink*

Subject: NailTech:: Crazy clients

Some days people can drive ya crazy!! Tell her to use polish remover and see if it comes off. I have a client that swears gel top coat over her pink and white acrylics made her nail break and now will not let me use it. I wanted to start using gel top coat instead of buffing to a high shine. It is easier on my wrists not to have to buff anymore. But for her we still buff.

Angie,
I am getting two weeks and more with my sog. I am using OPI and Nailite. The OPI so top is by far my top choice. I JUST got a call from a client who had them done on Friday and she is complaining about "something black" on the tips. Said it could be newspaper. GEEZUS-- this is MY fault??? Use your fingers to turn the pages and not your nails. No wonder her nails peel and break! This proves it. Who needs coffee??? Shoot- I need a shot of something!! LOL

Well it has been over a week and the sog is still on a looks good. I am not crazy about their super shiney. It's just not that super shiney. Do most of you get about 2 weeks out of your sog? (No Chip Manicures)? I have LE sog with LE gel polish on one person and LE sog with Nailite gel polish on another. Just relatives at this point.
