Veronica,
Welcome! I would apply a LOT less gel and stay away from the sidewalls..thin 
thin thin...is the word with gel.
Also...one little tip ... when you are finished with one hand and need to wait 
for the other hand to go into the light ...have the client turn the hand that 
is waiting...upside down...flat... then whatever gel might seep into the 
sidewalls will now run towards the center of the nail...thus creating a nice 
curve to the nail. Did I explain that well?
