A post that I made earlier today did a round trip of two minutes and
four seconds.  The last message Jo sent to the list took slightly over
9 minutes.  One that you sent earlier today was also a shade under 10
minutes.  Considering these messages are going through Mailman to a
list of 8k or so subscribers, either of these numbers is entirely
acceptable, though some tuning of Exim's behavior might result in
faster queue clearing.  I'll raise the possibility of tweaking Exim
with Larry next time I talk with him.

The empirical evidence suggests that there is no delay-for-approval
mechanism in place.
