Tcl is definitely not the fastest kid on the block, allright.
We do not use it because it is fast (it isn't) but because of
the versatility.

I know that, it is just rules out the naviserver/tcl out of high speed projects if other systems like PHP/Java/Perl involved and speed is one of the top priorities. It is hard to convince to use 2-3 times slower language even if the whole system is more versatile.
