Somehow I doubt it was radon, which has a half-life on the order of 4 days.  
Kr85 has a half life of around 10 years.  I suppose you could mean radium, 
which was used in a variety of tubes, but the most common isotope (Ra226) has a 
half life of 1600 years or so.
