Here's an idea: why not build some DB-25 to 1/4" snakes to adapt the
existing PT cables? That way you don't have to touch the edac end, and
you will be able to interface with most recording devices, now and in
the future.

All of the cable snakes have edac connectors on the board end. I
have 2 HD24XR machines that only accept 1/4" plugs, so I'll have to
change those over. I'm going to take it slow and tackle the
connections as I go. I may have to make some changes on the
multitrack returns at the board, in which case I'll probably need to
figure out the pin layout so I can return signal to all 40 channels
if I need to. The board is 40x26x8.

If your edac cons already have cable in them you should only
have to re- terminate the other end (don't the Alesis decks use a 56
pin edac for I/O)?
In any case edac product including pins and tooling are
available from digi-key and others.
Reverb 1-4 is probably the Aux 1-4 sends that you would plug
into your fx units.
