1st off, I /believe/ that the color code that I gave you was the
Neotek "standard". However, I haven't seen this written down many
places, so I also believe that whoever hooked up may of these supplies
just made it up as they went along.
2nd, the black/gray is the same as the black/white
3rd, as long as each wire goes to the same terminal at each end the
color doesn't really matter. HOWEVER, I think it would be a good idea if
you made the color code match what I sent you.
By the way, you mentioned that this is a 40 channel desk...do you
have one power supply, or two?

I'm finding some inconsistencies with the power supply/console
wiring. The way the wiring came connected on the power supply is
listed below. My supply cable has a black wire with grey stripes
connected to the Bi Polar Ground (maybe this wire is considered the

Here's an idea: why not build some DB-25 to 1/4" snakes to adapt the
existing PT cables? That way you don't have to touch the edac end,
and
you will be able to interface with most recording devices, now and in
the future.

All of the cable snakes have edac connectors on the board end. I
have 2 HD24XR machines that only accept 1/4" plugs, so I'll have to
change those over. I'm going to take it slow and tackle the
connections as I go. I may have to make some changes on the
multitrack returns at the board, in which case I'll probably need
to
figure out the pin layout so I can return signal to all 40 channels
if I need to. The board is 40x26x8.

If your edac cons already have cable in them you should only
have to re- terminate the other end (don't the Alesis decks use a
56
pin edac for I/O)?
In any case edac product including pins and tooling are
available from digi-key and others.
Reverb 1-4 is probably the Aux 1-4 sends that you would plug
into your fx units.
