I looked at the data sheet for the NTE 271 earlier today and it lists
the collector-emitter voltage as 100v (tip145 is 60v), does this matter?
The collector-emitter voltage seems to be the only difference in the
tip145, 146, and 147.
Also NTE 271 doesn't have a diode from the emitter to collector like the
tip145 does. Don't know if that matters.
