Hey Matt, I am a bid fan of the Allen & Heath Mix wizzards... 16 x 2 with 6 sends, 4 band eq, rack mountable.. They are constructed a lot better than Mackies..etc. They use a verticle circuit board under each channel. I like the version 2 model the best.. Version 1 used nylon jacks. Version 2 had metal jacks and internal conponents that are easy to repair.. Version 3 went to surface mount which can be a pain to work on. I use one for live pa and small portable recording. Guys-- Thanks so much for the recommendations. About the Soundcraft 200 series-- what's the difference between the "b" the "bve" and the "sr". They look like the same input module to me, but I have only worked on Soundcraft and it was a Ghost. The Midas Venice is a bit out of my range, pricewise.
