Am wondering if I missed this somewhere... was an explanation given (other
than the "lack of other contributors" line) for the commercialization of
Nessus? I recall back in January when the plugins were brought under the
new license that there were comments that other companies were repackaging
Nessus as their own (unfair competition). It seemed that delaying the
plugin feed was a reasonable step toward solving that problem. Am wondering
if this change did not, in fact, have the desired effect?

Additionally, am wondering what assurances have been taken to ensure that
ideas contributed to the open-source Nessus project over the years are not
incorporated into the commercial version that is to be released under a
closed license? GPL covers more than just code - it covers ideas, too.
Would hate to see a commercial product deployed that included ideas
generated by the FOSS community...

Also, are testers being required to sign agreements for testing? Would hope
so, since any feedback would now be provided for a commercial, non-GPL
product.

questions, questions...
