I fully expect that - I'm quite used to my suggestions and objections being overruled or ignored (and this has been one of the main down sides of my involvement with this project). But I don't think it's healthy for the project release guidelines to be disregarded or discarded without a qualm. I don't expect my complaints to make any difference this time, but I'm afraid of the creeping effect if such pushing of the boundaries is let pass without challenge. I'm also concerned about how many changes seem to be being made in the supposed 5.2.2 "release candidate", without discussion.
