It might be a better idea to convert Quagga from SMUX to AgentX. If you do
this properly, it will be possible to choose at run-time between running
Quagga as a stand-alone agent or an AgentX-subagent. See also
http://www.net-snmp.org/tutorial/tutorial-5/toolkit/demon/index.html for an
AgentX example. All you have to do to make the main agent / subagent
behavior configurable at runtime in that example is to make it possible to
control the variable *agentx_subagent* via a command-line option.
