Would you care to expand on the problem you were seeing? The usual issue with rw/ro clashes is when you have the same community (or SNMPv3 user) for both ro and rw. In that situation, it tends to be SET requests that fail (when the read-only configuration is applied first). I've never come across a situation where having both rw and ro settings would block GET requests.
