I followed the thread by Dave and found out that

no access control information


Is the warning your snmpd exposes.

Yes, In snmpd.conf if you do not specify access rules then
it will issue the error.

As a simple configuration. Please add

rocommunity and rwcommunity strings in your snmpd.conf.

It must look like

rocommunity public
rwcommunity private


P.S: Apologies to Anthony if I had missed this point in any of the mails
between you and me. :-)
