Bart,

I have upgraded Active Perl to version 5.12.4 Build 1205. However this
still gave the same Ipv6 error as before. As I do not need IPv6 I have
decided not to persue the option of correcting the IPv6 problem any
further.

I have tried to compile as follows:

1. OpenSSL support: disabled
2. Platform SDK support: disabled

3. Install path: c:/usr
4. Install after build: enabled

5. Perl modules: enabled
6. Install perl modules: enabled

7. Quiet build (logged): enabled
8. Debug mode: disabled

9. IPv6 transports (requires SDK): disabled
10. winExtDLL agent (requires SDK): disabled

11. Link type: static

12. Install development files enabled

The compilation fails when running the perl tests as follows (as indicated
earlier in the thread):
# Running under perl version 5.012004 for MSWin32
# Win32::BuildNumber 1205

However, the build seems to complete as follows:

See perltest.out for Perl test results

Done!

I then try to run snmpd.exe -V with the disablePerl true option set in the
snmpd.conf file. This gives a warning suggesting that embedded perl is not
enabled. How do I know if embedded perl has been enabled and what embedded
perl modules should be installed and where?

Any help would be appreciated. Is there anything else that I should have
previously built/installed??

Regards,

Ali
