If it means anything, I just e-mailed Adrian.  I'll see what 
he says about his current involvement in Netatalk.

        The real question is if our community is big enough to 
support a samba-like project.

        The other big questions is if Netatalk is fast becoming 
irrelevant.  So far, nobody has yet to give me a straight answer on 
if Mac OSX can connect to linux / Unix machines via NFS.
