Hi all
I am trying to get Solidworks to work on a C2Ked Compaq/HP Evo N1015V
laptop. The laptop is setup as a Personal laptop with myself and our Head of
Technology setup as privileged users.
The laptop has a AMD XP 2000+ processor with 256 MB RAM and a 40GB hard
drive.
So far I have been able to install Solidworks (after VBA6) and I have
installed the correct graphics driver for the laptop (downloaded from
Compaq's website).
The software tries to run but I get the following error: "could not load
slduiu.dll"
I have allocated the Legacy patch and checked the slduiu.dll file is present
in the Solidworks folder but I still get the error.
I have tried using Solidworks on the laptop when connected to the network
and when not connected with the same error.
Has anyone out there had success getting Solidworks to run on a laptop
computer? I have heard that it has been done on a Compaq/HP Evo N1020V (with
an Intel processor).
All helpful ideas welcome
