Larry, I am also new to net meeting and have had similar problems.  What worked for me was setting my default directory to "directory.netmeeting.microsoft.com".  At lease by doing this, I know my system is live and I do get the users logged onto the microsoft server.   I believe you might also get the same error message, if you are not logged on to the internet when you start netmeeting.   I believe there is some timing related problem when you have netmeeting autodial  the net  (at least on my HP computer.   Hope this helps.   Marc ----- Original Message ----- From: Larry Davidson To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Saturday, November 27, 1999 6:11 PM Subject: [NetMeeting] can't connect Hello, I'm a new netmeeting user and am having problems getting netmeeting3 working....I keep getting the message the directory server could not be found, you may not be connected to the network or mispelled the name, to change servers go to tools and options..do I have to change something in my dial-up networking on my computer or some such thing? as it seems i can't connect to any of the directory servers.   Thanks, Larry
