The Microsoft Internet Directory is more likely to be unavailable than
available -- if you want to use ILS servers use servers from the list at
http://www.netmeeting-zone.com/bestservers.asp instead of the default one.

I believe you might also get the same error message, if you are not logged
on to the internet when you start netmeeting. I believe there is some
timing related problem when you have netmeeting autodial the net (at least
on my HP computer.
