1. To use NetMeeting in Netscape, you'll probably have to make your own
plug-in or signed Java Applet that in turn uses the COM SDK to talk to
NetMeeting. Oh, and when you're through writing that, send it to me! :) Or,
you could require your Netscape users to install the Esker plug-in that
allows them to run ActiveX in Netscape, but I don't think many Netscape fans
would like that idea.
2. You want to: check if NM is installed, and verify the version. To do this
for all versions of NetMeeting in Internet Explorer, you'll have to make
your own ActiveX control. Then, you can check if it's installed and find the
version by looking in the registry. Or, to check if it's installed, you can
try to start NetMeeting using its COM SDK and if it fails you know it's not
there. I think the reason the NetMeeting ActiveX control function called
version() only works with NM 3 is that the ActiveX control is only
distributed with NM 3, and only NM 3 supports its interfaces.

Subject: [NetMeeting] netmeeting on a web page
1 - I'm trying to put a netmeeting interface on a web page. It works very
well with ie but not at all with netscape. Do you know if there is a way to
make it work with netscape ?? Do you think a plugin could be the solution ?
If yes, which one ??
2 - When someone gets on my webpage, I need to know if he has netmeeting or
not. Do you know how I can do that ?
If he has netmeeting, I would like to know the version of NM. Actually,
there is a fonction called Version() that let me know if the person has NM3
but it doesn't seem to work for the older versions.
Thanks in advance.
