Are you inside or outside of Sun? If you're outside of Sun, the current process requires you to get a manager to act as a proxy for you. (Yes, this part of ARC work doesn't scale nicely for Open Solaris.) First, talk with the responsible manager that owns the interfaces. In this case, I'd say that's Darrin Johnson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>. Negotiate a contract for the use of the interfaces. The template for that contract is here: http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/arc/handbook/contract/ You can see an example of such a contract in PSARC 2006/438 contract-03 if you're on the SWAN. If you're not, then ask to have 2006/438 opened up. The manager *should* push you towards making or using a more stable interface for this purpose, as that's the better technical solution. Contracts are quite painful for everyone involved. -- James Carlson, KISS Network <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sun Microsystems / 1 Network Drive 71.232W Vox +1 781 442 2084 MS UBUR02-212 / Burlington MA 01803-2757 42.496N Fax +1 781 442 1677 _______________________________________________ networking-discuss mailing list [email protected]
