What input does the script need?  Or the script just got
executed after NWAM picks the Environment and the script will
try to find out everything it needs to know about?

The intention is this should just be a dumb hook that NWAM will blindly execute. The smarts are up to the creator of the script. For me this is where I would do the proxy configuration for my laptop, since I know that I'm using gnome, etc.
