That'd be example configurations, scripts, and/or applications.

I don't care.

I'm not interested in dragging every problem into NWAM's scope.  If
there's some place _outside_ of NWAM (such as a "make WPAD easy"
project or a "Solaris used as web proxy" project) that's more
appropriate to solve the problems, then that's where the work should
be done.

I don't believe that NWAM should necessarily provide hacks to support
things that are missing from the overall architecture.

No, I mean configuring named -- creating zone files for someone
managing a name server.

No.  I'm still not talking about hacks, and I view redirecting WPAD
towards the local host as just a hack.

It's not at all how WPAD was intended to operate.
