I am not sure. I want to use VTag 3, so, I use
ifconfig qla3000 as below, no error found, but another dladm show-link does not
report the new device, qla3000. So, I am puzzled. But, when I ping another
machine, the gldm_send_tagged( ) is called with a very big and strange vtag.

# uname -a
SunOS solarisX86-1 5.11 snv_74 i86pc i386 i86pc
# dladm show-link
e1000g1 type: non-vlan mtu: 1500 device: e1000g1
qla0 type: legacy mtu: 1500 device: qla0
qla1 type: legacy mtu: 1500 device: qla1
# ifconfig qla3000 plumb 192.168.1.52 up
# dladm show-link

qla1 type: legacy mtu: 1500 device: qla1

# ping -n -s 192.168.1.10
