To an outsider, the OpenSolaris process seems quite Byzantine. I don't even know where to start.... I'd have to figure out how to build and install a kernel from source in order to test it, something I've never done. And I'd have to figure out the OpenSolaris processs. Both of which seem incredibly daunting. I've been meaning to figure these things out, but I've I haven't had a few days to spend on it. No offense, but if this was FreeBSD or Linux, I'd have already had a patch integrated.. Or, more accurately, I wouldn't care because my *driver* would be integreted, and not treated as a 2nd class citizen. I'm not saying the OpenSolaris community is neccessarily harder to deal with than the Linux or BSD communities. Both of them took some time to get the hang of. I just haven't had time to do that for Solaris yet. Drew _______________________________________________ networking-discuss mailing list [email protected]
