I don't think it should include a detailed description of any sort.

If you feel that it should, then please explain how the other issues
-- such as consistency among multiple commands on the system -- ought
to be dealt with.

History doesn't favor this approach, so I think more information is
needed, and that it shouldn't just be done in one command as an
experiment or as a localized fix.  If it's a useful feature, then it
ought to be applied in a consistent way, so that users get the same
experience whether they use the command you worked on or one that
someone else has modified.
