Depends on the options you use: you grep'ed for the network/physical service, having passed the -a flag; but you can also grep for nwam explicitly, or for phys in the output of svcs (no -a), or use the svcs command's globbing to match the instance or service. On my system: muskogee[48]svcs | grep phys online Aug_06 svc:/network/physical:nwam muskogee[49]svcs nwam STATE STIME FMRI online Aug_06 svc:/network/physical:nwam muskogee[50]svcs physical STATE STIME FMRI disabled Aug_06 svc:/network/physical:default online Aug_06 svc:/network/physical:nwam > Yi: I'd be interested in the log of the nwam service; can you do > > $ svcs -x nwam > > and paste the last few lines of the log file you're pointed to in the > "See:" lines. It would also be useful to capture nwam debugging; the steps to turn that on are described in item 6 on the nwam troublehsooting page: http://opensolaris.org/os/project/nwam/phase0/troubleshooting/ Thanks, renee _______________________________________________ networking-discuss mailing list [email protected]
