what is strange is that even with this set, the nic will uplink @ 1000

I did a ifconfig e1000g unplumb -> modunload -i 178 (number of the intance) 
then a ifconfig e1000g0 plumb blahblahblah !

pffff... at least @work it works ! :-) we have plenty of T5120 :-D
