  Your biggest problem w.r.t. Solaris and WOL is not the NIC being 
able to wake, but the framebuffer being unable to suspend (nobody has 
provided any Solaris drivers for the Matrox FB's, and without a driver 
to restore the hardware, you will be without a working display).  
There is a _possible_ workaround, but that requires the BIOS to 
re-POST on resume.  Currently only nVidia and Intel framebuffers are 
known to work with suspend in Solaris.
