Actually, you should tell us WHAT has dissappeared. I suppose you are
talking about the boot manager and not the program /sbin/lilo or the
file /etc/lilo.conf.
In this case all you have to do is to produce the mandrake customised
bootdisk out of your backup-diskettes box, enter in your linux booting
from the bootdisk and then execute the program /sbin/lilo.
If I have misunderstood the problem, or if something doesn't work, let us
