Subject: [newbie] RedHat 6.0 revisited

I just installed RedHat 6.0 on my system and I'm pretty impressed with it!
I can only imagine what Mandrake 6.0 will be like when released!! :)

I noticed some of you had tried RH6 and was wondering if you knew how to
change the "default" X Windows Manager when you use the XDM to log in? The
default is Gnome, of course. I don't mind having to manually switch to KDE,
but would like to know how to make it the default without having to go
through the extra "work". I've only looked at Gnome for a brief moment
(when I decided to see which X was "default") and it looks basically like a
"Gnome-ified" version of KDE.

:) Hope someone can help.

Thanks!
Arnold

I haven't tried to switch desktops, but after customizing Gnome, I really
like it and actually perfer it to KDE. I still do switch back and forth
though because of the programs that are dependent on KDE. Still very much
looking forward to the final release of Mandrake 6.0 though.
(Now that I think about it, I think KDE is the default on my system)
