I'm really not sure i want to start any kind of 'whos better than who'
thread here (but i'm going to anyway!). It's up to Mandrakesoft to defend
themselves on this one - after all it makes no odds to me which distribution
i use as long as it suits me.

All i really meant is that personally i find Mandrake to be more configured
the way i want as standard (and slightly more polished to boot). That in
turn saves me time and ultimately money.

If two shops were selling the same item of clothing, one fitted you slightly
better, and was available cheaper and easier (for me anyway) then you
wouldn't complain about the cheaper one existing then - would you ? .Why not
have the same item available from more than one place?

Obviously you can then go on to look at the differences in distro's in terms
of Lothar and all the other things that may or may not be in the pipeline.

Over to Mandrakesoft....

Martin.
