Glad your mouse is working.  I had to resort to reinstalling Mandrake to
get 
my Kensington to work.  I am sure it could have been fixed without the
reinstall if I were a little smarter.<g>

I'm not sure why you are running slow.  Everything goes fast for me it
seems.
I have a larger swap drive, 125mb, probably overkill, but have 128mb
memory
on a K6-350.  I think I might consider getting more memory as it is
relatively
cheap right now.
Wish I could suggest more............
