Will, RE-INSTALL!!

First load win98 and go to the command prompt only

then type fdisk /mbr

That will clear the LILO out of your system ( Unless you really dont care
about your win98 or have it all backed up I would boot from a floppy.)

Then go through the process of re-installing. This will allow you to do
everything over.. since you already have figured out some of the problems
you have.

The swap partition does not have to be that large Will.. 64meg is lots! If
you have over 64meg in the machine you will not be using your swap
partition much anyway.. thats why it sets a max at 133meg.. you will never
need more.

As for X and the monitor etc.. it is most likely your Video card selection
that is the problem not the monitor. try and find out your chipset type. As
for the monitor you can choose to install it as a 72mhz 1024 x 768 monitor
to start out with.. your monitor can do that NO PROBLEMS.. once you have X
up and running you can modify your configuration while you are running.

Hope this helps..

James
