After updating your kernal make sure to point lilo.conf to it change the
2.2.2.19 to 2.2.2.31 in lilo.conf  make sure the #'s are correct.. i think
the latest is 31. after your done editing that lilo.conf file run lilo from
a term and reboot. when you run lilo after editing the lilo.conf file you
should see..

adding
linux *
win98

the win98 is your other os if you have one.. if not then it is only linux *
the * states that it is the default loadup os if you opted to have win98
start first it would be

adding
win98 *
linux
