there was a story about a company years ago that sold satelite links for 
networks in remote areas, ya know big old dish, data both ways.  one 
customer complained that the performance grew stedily worse the last friday 
night of each month, but was all better by morning.  since it made no 
sense, everyone ignored it, but they kept complaining.  finally someone 
makes the long trip out and actually sits there late into the night to 
watch.

turns out the janitors used the dish asa basket for beer cans every last 
friday as they drank their take home pay......  :)
