Hi Aaron,  Thanks for that advice (and to the others that have responded!)  When you 
say "I also write my boot info to the MBR so that windows doesn't erase it if I have 
to reinstall" - how do you achieve that?  Are you talking about LILO's boot info?  Do 
I get the choice where to put that? (Done it a coupla' times now and can't remember -

I always install  windows first. I also write my boot info to the mbr so 
that windows doesn't erase it if I have to reinstall (a common windows 
occurence)
I didn't see the post that mentions turning off pnp but I have never had 
to mess with this. (is this related to an isa device??)
